This Roadmap identifies the main blocks to immigrant integration in Ireland. Solutions are posited to problems and those responsible for putting these in place are indicated.
The Roadmap is a result of six months of debate, discussion and argument by staff and the Board of The Integration Centre, and their 200 collective years of experience of working with migrants, policy makers and service providers in Ireland over the past decade.

The Integration Centre in colaboration with several other NGO's have formed a Coalition which lobbies on issues around the IRP Bill 2010. The Bill, whilst currently not in law, has a number of contentious provisions which the Coalition believes need to be revised. The Coalition has devised the attached Briefing Paper on the Bill. Members of the Coalition are Akidwa, Crosscare, The Integration Centre, Immigrant Council of Ireland, Nasc, the IRC, Doras Luimni, and MRCI.

The first Annual Monitoring Report on Integration aims to provide a comprehensive and concise picture of the state of Integration in Ireland and to identify where in employment, education, social inclusion and active citizenship Ireland can increase the potential for integration. This report is produced in collaboration with the ESRI and is framed within the four categories for assessing integration proposed at the EU Zaragoza Conference in April 2010. We in The Integration Centre hope that this report – and those that follow it – will be a valuable resource for policy makers and other stakeholders in Ireland and outside of the country.

This report was written by The Irish Council for Civil Liberties (ICCL) and is based on the work of a coalition of 17 leading Irish NGOs, trade unions and civil society groups that came together as the UPR Cross Sectoral Steering Group, in UPR Examination in Ireland.

Peter Szlovak, Monitoring and Research Analyst at The Integration Centre, submitted a report for the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) of human rights in Ireland. The report was completed from the information and advocacy work carried out at The Integration Centre, as related to human rights conditions and violations, with the aim of contributing to the assessmet of human rights in Ireland.
