Our Work
Integration Planning
The Integration Centre Aim:
To develop, facilitate and sustain local integration programmes to the advancement of immigrants in Ireland and the communities in which they live
Build on our existing work around the development of local integration programmes and integration fora
Engage and collaborate with other NGOs, local authorities, partnership structures and ethnic minority-led organisations to advance the development of specific local plans while also partnering on the advancement of others
Pilot new local integration programmes
Our approach is to:
Build interest among key stakeholder groups at Local Authority level (city and/or county-wide)
Support the formation of representative integration fora
Enhance ethnic minority participation
Avoid displacement of local ethnic minority lead and immigrant support groups
Offer training support around key areas
Transition from action-based approaches to medium-term strategising
Support the use of participatory & generative planning methods
Encourage the inclusion of monitoring frameworks at the outset
