Our Network

The Integration Centre's Network of more than 250 immigrant groups and organisations nationwide provides an authentic voice and positioning in terms of genuine dialogue with stakeholders at all levels about immigrant integration.  As such, it plays an important role in building credible voice.  The Integration Centre's Programmes, the research outlined in the previous section and its competencies in relationship building, The Integration Centre aims to extend the network to include new members such as IBEC, trade unions and employers organisations to further build credible voice in relation to our national advocacy work.

The unique ability of the Network to bring together local, regional and national organisations and groups creates a space in which to support and foster integration. This will be vital in progressing consistent approaches to integration policy at a national level while also providing a forum for refining practice in local areas. The engagement of The Integration Centre with our membership at a local and regional level enables us to develop our integration and information provision targets in an informed way by delivering Programmes based on a deep knowledge of the needs of immigrants. Knowledge of local experience and partnerships with local groups also enables us to shape meaningful collaborative models which can then inform and be shared.  The ‘credibility’ of The Integration Centre to engage in this way arises from its existing relationships and capacity to build multi-agency initiatives.  The local nature of Irish politics and communication relies heavily on effective local presence to leverage influence on policy making and The Integration Centre ability to engage and work with its members in political and media advocacy will be a significant tool in influencing national policy and outcomes.
