The Integration Centre is looking for an intern to join the Public Affairs team for a six month contract.
Location: Dublin, City Centre
Starting date of internship: February until August
The intern will be expected to assist the Director of Public Affairs. Expenses of up to 20 euro per day will be paid to the successful applicant for travel and subsistence. The interested applicant should be available to work 3 days per week, 9.30am-5pm.
Skills Specification:
• Knowledge of and desire to work with asylum-seekers and refugees
• Academic background in communications, and/or political and social sciences
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Good computer skills
• High motivation, positive disposition and a flexible attitude
Job duties
• Edit or write content for website, letters, press releases, public handouts, action alerts, and other communications.
• Assist with the organising of events
• Monitor current integration issues in local media.
• Respond to public affairs inquiries by phone and/or e-mail.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
