•    Are you interested in participating in the Dublin, St. Patrick’s Day Parade celebrations this coming March 2012?
•    Are you from an immigrant background?
•    Do you want to represent your community in the parade by creating collaborative artistic pieces/costumes and parade routines to perform on the day?

If so……
The Integration Centre is looking for 10 volunteers to participate in the City Fusion Project for the St. Patrick’s Day Parade, 2012.
The group will work together with professional artists to create collaborative art pieces, costumes and performance routines to exhibit together in the parade. Participants will attend weekly workshops in Dublin City Centre from the end of January 2012 until the parade on March 17th 2012, working together to create a pageant in a fun, creative and exciting atmosphere.

FACTS:
•    Over 1,000 individuals have participated in City Fusion in the last 4 years.
•    Participants have ranged in age from ten to sixty.
•    A spectrum of community groups ranging from after-school projects to cultural groups; community employment schemes to college societies; dance ensembles to refugee groups have taken part.
•    Artists from a range of cultural backgrounds including Irish, British, French, Spanish, Polish, Hungarian, Australian, Nigerian and Angolan have worked together on the project.
•    Feathers, fabric and materials for City Fusion have been sourced and shipped by artists and participants from as far afield as India, Mexico, France, Germany and Brazil.
•    City Fusion has been awarded Best Parade Pageant Award three years in a row (2007-2009).
